B i o g r a p h y
Jonathan Hellerman is the organist and music director at St. John Francis Regis Parish in Hollywood, MD and also teaches music at St. John's School. In addition to leading two church choirs and two school choirs, he also sings with Chorus Regina Angelorum, a St. Mary's County chamber choir that specializes in Renaissance polyphony.
Mr. Hellerman has extensive experience with liturgical music in the Washington, DC area having previously been employed as organist at the Church of the Little Flower in Bethesda, MD and at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Washington, DC. He has also served as music director for the Traditional Latin Mass congregation at Old St. John's in Silver Spring, MD. Mr. Hellerman is a graduate of the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at the Catholic University of America, where he studied organ performance with Dr. Robert Grogan, and composition under Dr. Tony Randolph and Dr. Andrew Simpson.
